"Dear Geri, Thank you so much for your incredible service selling our house in Willow Springs! When you met us, I wasn't excited about hiring a realtor and I am so glad that I did. Or, more specifically, I am so glad that I hired you. There are a number of ways that a realtor adds value and you exceeded every mark. 1). You understood our home. In addition to being familiar with our neighborhood, you did extensive research to learn every relevant aspect of both our house and the competition, including appreciation trends, appraisal values, taxes, fees, lot sizes, etc. Your knowledge helped us and potential buyers understand our house and the market. 2). You marketed our home. One never knows what route the eventual buyer will use so you made sure that every avenue was covered. From newspaper ads, to real estate books, to open house announcements, to direct mail, to refreshing the MLS, to keeping Craiglist updated to developing a lovely virtual tour, you leveraged every tool available to keep our house top of mind. You made sure we had Open Houses frequently, which did drive considerable traffic. You networked with other realtors and did email blasts to them. If there was a method, you tapped it. 3). You followed up. Your communication was outstanding. You consistently let me know what was going on and you immediately followed up after showings. You kept track of interested buyers and let them know about price changes and status. You kept updated on the crazy market and made sure we were always being proactive about our strategy. You let me know of your whereabouts and who would back you up, even when you were taking a couple needed days off. We always felt like a top priority. 4). You did details. You combed through every document and made sure every i was dotted and t crossed. There are many complexities with a real estate transaction which I will never understand and I was completely confident that you were on top of everything. You prepared me far in advance for my role and you communicated very well with buyers realtors. You made sure the details of the house and the transaction were smooth and, as a result, created a very smooth contract/close. 5). You cared. This was the first house I ever sold and now I know that is matters to have a realtor that cares. You cared about us as people and you cared about our house. Everything you did went above and beyond. You recognized our challenges with being remote and you took care of things to make my life easier. Geri, this downturn in the market was a stressful time to be selling a house. I know it must have been challenging for you as well as us but you never made it about you. You kept your spirits up and you kept a focus on our house and you sold our house at a time when very, very few houses are selling.
